Abstract
This paper presents experimental realization of dependence on initial conditions in the nonlinear response of a two-degree-of-freedom (two-DOF) nonlinear system, by employing a nonlinear beam-mass mechanical structure. The experimental data show that the structure exhibits different dynamic behavior under different initial conditions.
