This article contributes to the field of mixed methods research by introducing a mixed methods longitudinal ethnographic research design, utilizing Lennon Wall Hong Kong as an illustrative example. It integrates: (1) quantitative and qualitative textual analyses of the Wall messages from all districts; (2) in-depth interviews with the participants; and (3) observation at the Wall sites, using a joint display example. It is hoped that the joint display serves as a meaningful guiding structure for integrating various research methods in political graffiti research and inspires other future mixed methods research to generate nuanced insights into complex phenomena.enA mixed methods analysis of political graffiti: Demonstrating integration through joint display using Lennon Wall Hong Kong as an examplejournal article10.1177/15586898251362915
