There are limitations with the current IP-based mobility management deployments due to the increasing data traffic volume and trends in mobile networks evolution. Various solutions have been proposed to address these limitations. Distributed and dynamic mobility management provide a suitable framework to optimize mobility management to address these limitations. This paper proposes two optimization schemes to overcome the problems of long route especially for long-duration traffic, to reduce end-to-end delay and handover latency, and to remove the constraint of limited coverage area.enEnhanced handover support and routing path optimization with distributed mobility management in flattened wireless networksconference proceedings
