Abstract
This paper describes the background and highlights some relevant features of the Student Learning Evaluation on the Web (SLEW) system, which two post-secondary education institutions in Hong Kong, Caritas Francis Hsu College and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers, plan to develop in the near future with the aim to apply web-based technology to collect students' feedback on their learning so as to inform the colleges' quality assurance (QA) activities. With the future implementation of the system, the two colleges seek to adopt a research-informed, evidence-based, improvement-led and IT-enhanced approach to their internal QA, share good practices with the other institutions, and influence the quality culture within the post-secondary education sector of Hong Kong.
